ok lads....have just done the search thing on here for "HOW TO FIT A BOOST GAUGE"...!!!

it is very old .the pics dont come up . and i have just bought a NEW gauge for my 147...
and is totally different than the old one that was in it.....

this one has a "stepper motor" in it...(was told to get this one for a better reading ..? )
it has english instructions , that are as usefull as tits on a bull....

CAN A MEMBER DO A "GOOD" how too on this please...? thankyou.....NICK .

You might need to be more specific in regards to which boost gauge you have..

But it is very simple. You will need a 12v source, earth and then connect the sender to a boost source (on the intake manifold).

this is a "auto dragon" gauge from japan...very much like the "dephi" gauges..? or whatever you call them..?

as you can see (and i understand what you are saying )...but this f&%king thing has wires/connectors all over the thing...!!! i have worked out the "small" plug to the rear of the gauge is for a "peak light"..!!
which i have not got..!!...F#@K KNOWS where ALL the other wires go.... nick


oohhh...i did not include the pic of the little unit that the vac line attaches too...THIS has bloody wires coming from it...TOO...?

Doesn't look like you have a boost sensor to go with that gauge?

One of the plugs will go to the sensor which will have a power wire (reference should be 5v coming from the gauge to the sensor), ground and also a sensor wire which reports back a 0v-5v signal.

The other plug will also have 3 wires, one will be for power, ground and illumination wire to hook up to your dimmer circuit with your lights.

ok . the middle group of wires goes to the little unit the hoses connect too for boost..?



above is the left hand side group...RED / ORANGE / BLACK / WHITE .



this is the right hand side group of wires..?
i have had a go at placeing power to the RED/ BLACK wires from pic 2...to try and light up the gauge....?
done nothing at all..... nick .

The middle set goes to your sensor. either out side set goes to your power, which is
red= +12V
Black= earth
White= ACC
Orange= lights
The last two will depend on what colour you want it to light up tho.
Ive wired mine to the clock so that would go to
Light green= light
white black= Earth
Purple black= ACC
lime yellow= +12V
The bottom plug which you dont have goes to a warning light for when you hit high boost
Hope that makes it clear as mud

Yea looks like the double pluged lead is so that you can plug in extra gauges with no wiring. Glad we could help.
