Ok guys.....I did some thing very stupid.....I tried to phyen my fuel but when i went to remove hose it seem to have got stuck....i managed to remove it but it seems like it may have slightly caught
on some thing when coming out.
Now my fuel gauge is playing up....when i have more than half tank it sems to work with the level (gauge) but if fuel is lower than that it will stay on almost empty and will move up and down expect
when im at a stop idling it will slowly try to move up after a bit of sitting their.....
think i can get into my fuel tank meter or what ever (thinks its under boot cover etc) and try to fix it or would i need a whole new fuel tank....or maybe fuel meter indidctor some where near tank....?
Cheers _________________

Sounds like you bent your fuel sender. Access it through the panel in the boot.
Cheers mate, so i can just pop da Boot, lift tha cover/mat and prob remove spare tyre...?
is it straight forward....Ill have a sus to see if their is some thing on the "How To" section of this Forum....
Hope fully wont need a new part and i can fix it easily. _________________

the fuel tank is against the back seat, not under the car...
remove the rear seats, remove the big black panel, then youll have access to the tank service hole thing! _________________

Yeah I agree that Panel behind the Rear seats is a good one however the fuel level sender is on the other side the panel in the boot either panel will gain you access to the fuel level sender

really! didnt know that, was under the assumption it was all one unit!
prob best to start off with the back seat, open the tank up and have a look inside see how it all sits...then once you know how it supposed to sit, remove the sender and fix it up....then check from the back seat that its all good! _________________
Don't bother taking the seat and fuel pump assembly out. Just take the sender unit out from the boot.
Its common for the sender unit to come apart. The outer case unclips itself from the body, just clip it back together or tie it up with some wire.
good to know for future reference!
Thanks guys, will suss that out tomoz. Gonna be a hot as day in Adelaide :p _________________

Hey hey, I am trying to fix my fuel sensor thingy in boot where I have removed the cover....just not sure which 1 I'm meant to unscrew. There 2 ways of looking into the actual tank....one where to metal pipe goes into it and another with the clip bit on it, I have check all clips and they r secure. Was I actually meant to get inside the tank to fix the sensor....?
Thanks again boys. _________________

Yes. You will need to fully remove the fuel sender. You need to do this via the boot and remove the lower one. Not the one on the top.
Chappo, thanks heaps for your assistance. All done and working again, yaayy.
Your a legend mate.
