thanks for the welcomes and the intrest in the van
mods ............ not much else - its allready running a 9.75" 3.77lsd rear axle! front end is all converted to 95 spec coil spring rack and pinion etc. as ive been running a 24v V6 cosworth lump for a good few years now
once the JZ is in i'm gonna concentrait on smartning up the interior, see how it goes with the JZ in and if it'll take more power up it over time but it's a bit of a handfull with 200bhp so 350 should be fun
body wise i've got these for the back - same wheels but 9" (got 8"s on now) they should push the back out like the front
mabe one day i'll flare the arches but not for a while
Hey all, I'm from Canada and don't have an Aristo yet...
Right now I have this turbo single cam Civic that I've done basically a full build on, running a GT3076R. Took it to the track ONCE in its current state and went 12.8 at 110mph on its first pass. Still have a cam I need to put in and still needs a dyno tune + more boost. Running pump gas.
Unfortunately, the track here is closing it's doors at the end of this season, for good.
So I'm going to mess with it a little more and get it a little faster, maybe dip into the 11s, then sell it when the track closes.
Couple months ago got hired at a Toyota dealership, I've always wanted a chance to play with a 2jzgte, so I may as well drive a nice boring 4 door Toyota to work with an engine built by god.
The Civic should EASILY bring enough cash for a nice Aristo, and hopefully a little more for mods. I'm no stranger to building a well sorted turbo import, and with an indestructible engine most of the work is already done. I have big plans for one of these cars.
Give me 3 months and I'll probably be cruising around in one and posting more actively, but for now I'm going to mostly lurk.
Here's a couple pics of the Civic. I kept it mostly stock looking on the outside. The looks on peoples faces are worth it when I drop a gear and plant my foot.
