same here luke, not the best of shifters in our cars ,but they probably thought they were 'GREAT"
back then "when new".
the problem with ANY a/m shifter is 9 out of 10 times ,you lose your "overdrive off/on button on the
side of the shifter, i notice the link you have put up ,shows a hole ..?? in the knob..?
but does not actually show you THAT side of the shifter "in the car"..? so i dont know IF this for modifying the O/D switch into the alloy shifter..?
if it IS do-able with this shifter , there would be a bit of work "i think" modifying the wiring/button
in the alloy one to get it to work...??? unless (instructions ) were provided...? nick

The supra shifter mechanism is completely different. I have one in the garage and tried to fit the stock supra shifter on the aristo shaft and it did not even come close to fitting.

This is what I plan on running, but will trim it into the console for a neat look. will just put the overdrive button and PWR/ECON switch on switches next to it in the new console. _________________

maybe there is a Billet Fab guy somewhere that someone knows that can copy an Aristo Shifter and make OD Button provisions as well as stock shaft trim so there is no bare metal showing. But will be very interested if anyone finds one that fits and can accomodate OD button.
