oh that sucks hardcore. stupid australian import laws ! looks like the lexus gs300's have 2jz's in them, so im sure a conversion wouldnt be that hard. it looks like it will bolt straight in. then just gotta do the wiring. oh as well as changing the lexus badges to toyota ones haha

That's basically the go yes.
Stock aussie gs300's had 2jzge's in them so the gTe bolts right in to standard mounts with minimal mods. Best bet is probably a 161 front cut.
But you will need to fab up exhaust & intercooler and wire in ECU to get it running happy. _________________

ahh thanks, thats what i was thinking. mounts will be the same, not sure if the ge tranny can handle it, but most JDM engines ive seen come with the tranny and ECU + Loom. should be a good project, but pretty expensive tossing up between buying a gs300 for the interiorm, and i can legally drive it on my p's then dropping the gte in it when im allowed to drive turbos, or buying a 147 and going nuts! haha.

JZS147 TT half the trouble and half the price of GS300 and conversion. _________________

Im pretty set on keeping my Aristo for a fair while but i would be happy with a jzx100. After owning a 2jz i dont think i could go without so id only own one if it had 2j mojo
How hard would a 2jz conversion into a jzx100 be?
Im guessing the wiring would be the most difficult bit but apart from that the eng should bolt in? _________________

yeah true aristo man. i just like the interior of the 161 more, however the 147 one is nice too! and theyre newer and have better technology. i would think more parts would be available and easier to work on but i could be wrong? and it would be handy having OBDII. do 147's have it? i cant seem to find a thread!
Aristo all da way, I was tha same, thinking between chaser, aristo or cefiro. But wanted 2j as have gd
