ok members ,some will not give a shit, BUT have to throw this up, just might help others on the gold coast...???

i have HAD all sorts of bloody problems getting a ( GOOD ! )wheel alignment done in my area .... Mad Mad
to the point of picking the car up, and NOT getting charged for it ,cause the firm basiclly did not have a
fucking clue ,on what they were doing....and the car was all over the road, like a bitch on heat..!!!
worse than when it went in there . Dunno
"they" were that good ,i did not get 5000 kys out of my NEW front tyres..!! Rant

SIGNATURE TYRES & AUTO . at robina, next to the holden dealership is where i GOT what i wanted.!!!!
spent over an hour & a half on the girl , got a readout of where they started, and where they finished .

best the car has felt/drove since i owned it..!!! (WORTH CHECKING OUT..!! )...nick.. Very Happy

Oh lordy that sounds like mine.

Usually I take it in, they get some apprentice to "do the alignment", I get the car back and she's going all over the place, I take it back in the next day or when they can fit me back in, they get the boss to drive it around and go "yep its fucked", then they fix it.
Every fuckin time I go to a new place, they take 2-3 days to do it as I need to go multiple trips before it's right.
That said, these days they're pretty good. Our cars arn't that complex suspension-wise. Pretty simple double wishbone setup, and has adjustments for everything, so they can get it how they want it usually..

Do you want to list what the ever elusive specs you have wanted workshops to set it to ??

Possibly this halfarse wheel alignments could be why mine has chewed through front and rears in no time at all..

I'd say most people have such worn bushes that, even once aligned correctly after a few km's they settle back to the wrong positions. I had this problem in the rear until I changed the inner control arm bushes, where they used to struggle to get the camber less than 2 degrees, now I can get positive camber if I want.

On the front it didn't matter what it was set to it would chew tyres cos of the worn strut bar to chassis bushes(castor rods).

But I have to agree most tyre joints couldn't align my car to save their lives.

ems3s....That's what i liked about this mob mate....(quote :::we are going to check your front end out first then tell you if WE can do a wheel alignment for you.? :: unquote ) which did not phase me because
like you ,i have replaced almost ALL bush,s / balljoints ect :ect:.

sleeper147............... i would NOT have a clue on the "specs" in regard to a perfect wheel alignment..?
thats what i pay "them" for..!!

the thing that a lot of peeps DONT KNOW.... the celsior 4 piston brakes are worth their weight in ants teeth..!!!
BUT...most "RCA,s" that you have to use with these, come in a "30 mill size" which IS NOT REALLY NEEDED.
"10 mill" ones would do the job just nicely...!!!
and what these do is DROP your front end , BY 30 MILL !! then like me if you are running coilovers, you
struggle to get the coilover high enough,so a good wheel alignment can be done on the car....?
the car does not look "low" BUT..the front end IS..!!..........nick . Suprised

Get this kit

SPF3163K Front Control Arm Lower-Inner Eccentric Kit $100.06

It's an offset bush which takes out alot of camber. I'm running this one at the moment and with semi slammed suspension, camber looks very tame. I haven't had an electronic alignment done lately cos I've been swapping wheels and ride height but am sure it is almost neutral at the moment.

Last freaked with by ems3s on Fri Apr 08, 2011 8:22 pm; freaked 1 time in total
