there is no chip so locksmith should be able to help you if he knows what he is doing. if not then just get a matching set of keys and barrel (the thing you push your key into) out of a wreck and swap it into your car. i got a spare key cut as soon as i bought my car and that works fine

Got a key cut with no central locking thing for $25 and it works fine. I was without a spare key for about a year and a half... bad idea.

wat about calling toyota with your VIN and asking them to run a key lock code or whatever its called, or email toyota Japan, they should be able to give the lock combination easy as...

my mate did it with his old E34 last week....gave the lock code to my locksmith mate who got new blanks in and cut him 2 new keys...easy!

alternatively, pull a barrel out and get the code off the side of the barrel (engraved on the side)
