Those fuses are in the cabin right ?
I did take a quick look at the ones in the engine bay and each and every single one of them seemed right, like the metal connect in them wasnt broken, but then again im no expert mechanics , and it was night and dark when i realised i had this issue.
Should I actually voltmeter-test them ?
If so, how ?
Ill go take a look at the in-cabin fuse box in a few mins, after breakfast. _________________

There's a couple of Big square 30A fuses (should be Pink) down there in the drivers panel. Check them.. they are a f*kn slut to get out too for some reason. Mine always snap before they come out and I end up pulling out lots of little shards of plastic until it's clean enough I can get a new one in. _________________

Ive never seen em at petrol stations etc.. they just too much of an unusual size. Cos theyre different to the ones in the fuse box under the bonnet.
But yeah supercheap or whatever usually has them.
Or do what the guy did to my car and like, custom fitted a normal 30A fuse to some wires to cover the gap lol. So dodgy lookin _________________

I'll try to hit a "canadian tire" store on my lunchbreak from work tomorrow.
I'm stressing like hell because theres only a grabage bag taped over the windows right now, so its imperative i get this fixed ASAP.
If they fail me at the store, then i think ill just use the ghetto suggestion from rustyP and use some 30amp from the tercel's engine bay, so i can at least shut the windows while i get the right fuse. _________________
Mate just jam a paper clip in there so you can get your windows back up. Then remove paper clip and go shopping for a fuse when time permits.
You will probably have to do some fault finding for a short to earth somewhere in your window wiring system.....thats the reason why your fuse has blown in the first place.

if you have a short to ground the last thing i would be doing is putting a paper clip in there .the fuses are there to save everything else like the regulator and such and if it is going to ground it is going to draw enough current to blow them up without a fuse there. just my opinion
Hes right......if you want to fix your car properly you are going to have to buy a few fuses and do some fault finding.
Slap a new fuse in and operate each window switch till you find which one makes the fuse blow. Then you are gonna have to trace and inspect all the wiring associated with that switch till you find your short.
If you just throw a new fuse in it will just blow again until you fix the real problem.

I bought 2 new fuses, 1 for "door" and 1 for "power". Slapped em in and... nothing.
I do have power in the car, i can operate the electrical steering column adjust, but everything such as power door lock, power windows... gone. The real priority here is to get the damned windows back up.
DOES ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO BRING THE DAMNED WINDOWS BACK UP MANUALLY ?
Is it complicated ? Im tired of having the car sitting in front of the house with windows all the way down. That really stresses the hell out of me really.
I might have to resort to renting a garage and leaving the car in it until i get time to fix this.
And your right guys, Im really gonna have to find the source of the issue, and i think it somehow
to my radio that doesnt work issue.
Also, I have always had a buzzing sound coming from the boot that would go away whenever i pressed the windows switches in the driver's door.

you'll have to remove the trim so you can get to the window inside the door
i think there's a write up about it somewhere, if not then it's pretty easy anyway _________________

Yeah thats kinda what i decided. I spoke with my neighboor the muscle car lover he knows of one thats been in business for like 40yrs.
I dont think i have the skills to fix this i mean, i can screw and unscrew bolts just as good as the next man but when it comes to electrical things im just a fucking noob. (ego = ouch)
I was told by my friend that i could undo the door panel, then proceed to skin the electric motor + wire and then ground the - and then apply power straight from the battery to it to make it go up... but considering the amount of electrical gremlins the car has i scared shitless to do that.
I mean :
-door lock switch doesnt work on rear right passenger door
-when a door is open, the door lock locks and then immediately unlocks all doors, except the rear
right passenger one
-radio doesnt play in the speakers but makes CDs spin and all
-windows dont work
-buzzing sound coming from the boot that go away whenever i press the windows switches in the
driver's door
at this point i feel like the driver's door might be the source of the issue, but thats a feeling, and it comes from a noob (me)
so ill get a pro fix it and cross my fingers itll cost somewhere below 400$, but maybe im dreamin...
