sorry if this is a newbie question, but im getting alot of mixed messages
looking at selling my daily civic and getting an aristo or a soarer to tow my s14
car proebly weighs 1250 + trailer + 6-8 spare wheels + tools
i think the power will be pleanty, but just wondering whether
a- can get a tow bar that can take the weight
b- the chassis/subframe is suitable to take alot of weight
c- brakes are up to it
d- is it legal
just dont want to get one, go to chuck a tow bar on and then get told it cant be done
one of the guys bought an aristo a while back with car towing in mind.
iirc when he went to get a tow bar installed, the place he went to pointed out that the chassis rails dont go to the very end of the car or something like that, and that if he tried to tow cars regularly, it'd gradually bend the rear of the car down.
anyone able to confirm? or am i imagining things? _________________

if you need tougher suspension look into putting in airbag helpers. they can be fitted to almost anything and and the beauty of them is that when your just cruising around you can drop the air pressure out and it's all nice and soft again.
try airbag man.
